Mission as Metaphor
At CRANE, we’re storytellers
and we know that sometimes the best way to communicate an idea
is through metaphor.
For more than 20 years,
an elegant origami bird has been our symbol and,
in some ways, our guide.
An intricate construct, born of a simple, single piece of paper.
A humble foundation that builds upon itself.
To form a three-dimensional bird from one flat sheet
requires no cutting or gluing, no appliqued wings or painted eyes.
A skilled artist knows everything she needs
is already in the paper.
Her task is merely to draw forward the inherent potential that already exists.
We take the same approach with our clients—
beginning with history and culture,
their existing strengths and driving missions,
always working to reveal, honor, and claim what’s been there all along.
It’s an approach as effective as it is instinctive,
because we find beautiful, compelling truths already embedded
within every organization we work with—
real and resonant, authentic and ingrained,
and precisely what right-fit prospects
have been seeking the entire time.
