Crane: Unfold Your Story

Illuminate your BEACON: an assessment tool for advancing and sustaining your school

2019 SAIS Annual Conference
October 27 – 29, 2019

Enrollment, retention, and fundraising are more complex and intertwined than ever before. As you move families from prospects to engaged community members, you’re not attracting buyers but cultivating believers—continually crafting your school’s culture and ensuring its long-term sustainability. How do you keep everyone pulling in the same direction? Start at the intersection—of your school’s external contexts and internal realities—to ensure you attract families who stay, give, and spread the word.

In this session, Shelly Peters of CRANE | Atlanta will explain the BEACON assessment tool, share the resources and process necessary to explore and complete each component (Brand, Environment, Assets, Competitors, Opportunities, and Niche), and facilitate an exercise that demonstrates how participants can engage their own school leadership teams in completing the BEACON when they return to campus.
